ABOUT OUR FARM
A Pollinators’ Paradise
June and Pete, retired from teaching and purchased this old farm, once designated the most beautiful farm in Connecticut. It had fallen into complete disrepair. The cow barn had collapsed, the fields were young forests, and beautiful stone work was covered with debris. Their dream was to restore the fields with wildflowers and native plants to support the many butterflies, pollinators and creatures who need this type of disappearing natural space to survive. That’s where your help comes in.
Our Visitors
Our Visitors support the ongoing maintenance of this sanctuary.
During the few weeks of daffodil bloom you can pick flowers, take pictures, and enjoy our many sitting and photo areas.
Once the daffodils pass, the native plants grow tall and flower so we hope to make two more wild flower picking weekend available. After that, the plants continue to flower and seed providing ongoing food and shelter for the natural world.
How it Works
Arrive at the farm between 10 am - 5pm on the dates indicated above. We are open rain or shine.
$10 per adult and $5 per child enables you to choose a basket, stroll for hours, pick 25 daffodils each and take photos. If you like, bring a picnic and blanket.
Wear good walking shoes. The daffodil paths wind through approximately 10 acres of meadow.
We have iPhone compatible tripods you are welcome to borrow. There are several good photo areas near stone walls, old foundations, art works, and the duck pond.
